so, you think you know all about love?

by lostasylum | November 14th, 2008

Sometimes, it’s the simplest things that seem to cause the biggest problems, won’t you agree? For example, if you accidentally left your tap on full blast in your kitchen sink, this usually wouldn’t be a problem (unless your pipes are faulty-lah)… but if you forgot the simple task of unclogging the sink before you left, then you would have BIG problems when you come back. That wonderful dinner is just about to turn into a horrible nightmare…

And so, it seems to be the same with love. Everyone wants it, most people have it or have at least experienced it, no one wants to live without it, and yet no one can fully claim to understand it. If love is such a mainstay of our lives, how come we don’t seem to be able to fully comprehend it? In fact, you know what they say? They say that love makes you do crazy things!…

In celebration of this crazy little thing called love, a bunch of stage actors and ctresses known as the Footstool Players are presenting this play called… well.. “Crazy Little Thing Called Love”.

Crazy Little Thing Called Love

Now, before you just eagerly go ahead and condemn this play as just another run of mill love story, you might wanna take a look at a couple of pictures from the play….

This ain't your normal love story...

Love isn't always easy

The play is actually a collection of stories that are presented in a down to earth manner, but with generous amounts of humour and a simplicity that makes it enjoyable.

Here’s a videoclip taken from their interview on NTV7:

No superstars in this cast lineup, but with the backing of KLPac, Domino’s Pizza, LiteFM, POS AD Group and Empowerment, it’s something definitely worth checking out.

The unfortunate thing is that, because it has taken me this long to post up this article about the play, there are only 4 shows left (they’re performing at KLPac):

Venue: KLPac, Pentas 2

Price : RM30 / RM20 (students, senior citizens and disabled)

14 November 2008 (Friday) 08:30 PM
15 November 2008 (Saturday) 03:00 PM
15 November 2008 (Saturday) 08:30 PM
16 November 2008 (Sunday) 03:00 PM

Apparently, from some inside sources that I know of, the tickets are selling out pretty fast, so if you’re interested in catching this play, I would strongly suggest you start calling up KLPac to book your tickets now…

the custom series 1: the teen street connection…

by lostasylum | November 3rd, 2008

Wow…. it’s already November! Who would’ve thought that in just 2 months, blatant© will be celebrating it’s 1 year anniversary! Now that’s something to really forward to… at least for me anyway =)

Blatant's One Year Anniversary

Anyway, our sincere apologies that we haven’t been able to update our website posts as often as we’d like to. There have been an increase in workload with regards to our corporate clients, and we just successfully upgraded our website to wordpress 2.6.3 (we were previously running on wordpress 2.5). Yay!

Now, to the heart of the matter….Starting from today, we’ll be introducing a new segment to our posts. Known as the “custom series”, these posts will showcase the work that blatant© has done for our corporate clients. Many a time, we’ve had people ask us to show them the work that we’ve done for other companies, in addition to the ready to sell line that we have. In fact, there are many who do not even know that we offer customised t-shirt printing and also desktop publishing (posters, buntings, advertisements, etc) designing and printing services!

Today’s edition of the custom series will see us showcasing the design work done for a teenage camp. Called teen street, this was the final artwork that was printed and distributed:

Blatant's design for the OM's TeenStreet Camp 2008

We are also in the midst of printing their camp t-shirts, but it’s not finished yet. Once the t-shirts have been printed and delivered, we will let you folks see what our designs looked like!

If you want to know more about the type of customised design and printing that we offer, please visit our customise page. Otherwise, you could always drop an email to: admin[at]simplyblatant[dot]com

Once again, we do appreciate all kinds of feedback that is constructive, so don’t be afraid to post what you think or feel. Enjoy the rest of the week and may it end quickly.. =)

she’s the queen of my heart… but….

by lostasylum | October 13th, 2008

Last week, we gave you a little teaser. Today, we give you the real deal!

Ladies and Gentlemen, blatant© is proud to present its latest design….

Yes, it’s in BLACK. And yes, it’s for the guys. Pretty nice words on the front eh? Why don’t we take a look at what’s written behind shall we?

Well guys, you like it? Sorry ladies, you had your fun with our last launch. This time, it’s the guy’s turn. =) In fact, here’s a little idea… the girl can purchase one of either the Charlie’s Angel design or the Don’t Call Me Baby design, and the guy can purchase this design. Then you can wear it out together are your very own couple t-shirt! heheh…

But seriously, if you like this design, you can either ORDER ONLINE or head on over to 1-Utama’s Area51 shop, preferably, the sooner the better, especially since the bigger sizes tend to sell out pretty fast.

Hopefully no one will be “smart” enough to suddenly ask why there are no baby-t sizes for this design… heheh.. we wouldn’t know where to begin… =)

One last thing… do let us know what you think about our latest design yeah?

post Raya blues….

by lostasylum | October 8th, 2008

It was a sad time when Monday came, because it signified that the Raya holidays were well and truly gone. =(

But, after all the holiday-ing and eating, it’s time for us to get back on track. And so yes, we’re back! Next week, blatant© will launch the new design for the month of October!

We can’t say much right now… but let’s just say that GUYS will be happy with this design, especially since we didn’t have guy designs in our last launch. It’s also in a colour that most guys would like as well….if you’re a metrosexual guy, then maybe it may not be your kinda colour.

Here’s a little teaser… heheh….
