we’re gonna be at YOUTH ‘10!!!

by lostasylum | May 12th, 2010

In life, there are times when no news is good news. Well, in our case, when we had no news to give you for the past 2 weeks, it was because we were working on good news. And today, we bring you VERY good news!!

WE HAVE BEEN CONFIRMED AS A VENDOR FOR YOUTH ‘10!

This is one of the biggest national youth events in Malaysia, if not the biggest, and we will be there this year! 21,000 youths attended Youth ‘08 while Youth ‘09 attracted 36,720 youths. Youth ‘10 is expecting even bigger crowds, so yeah, it’s kind of a big event. I mean, with 6 festivals, 5 conference tracks, 3 music concerts and 100+ events, it can’t be that small right? =)

The details are as follows:

Date: 28th - 30th May 2010
Venue: Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC)

The organisers for Youth ‘10 have been very kind to even create a Facebook Event for us, so don’t forget to over there and RSVP to support us and also them!

For more information, you go to their official website: http://www.theyouthfestival.com/.

If you want to get free passes to go, look no further than this website: http://malaysia.youthsays.com/youth10.

We’ll be having more updates as the dates get closer, so keep checking! Have a great week ahead!

stock updates….

by lostasylum | March 18th, 2010

We know that some people are just way too lazy to go on over to our ORDER PAGE to see what sizes are still available for our designs…. =)

But since we’re nice people (and also because of the recent t-shirt sales from Art for Grabs), we’re dedicating today’s post to update you on the sizes that have been sold out or only have 1 piece remaining….

The biggest news of the day however, belongs to a design that was THOUGHT to be sold our during our Art for Grabs event. We even sold the samples! But we have just seen ONE MORE PIECE that we missed out from our stock…..

And because we made the mistake of saying that it’s already sold out, this last piece of the “CAFFEINE ADDICT” design will be shipped FREE OF CHARGE (within Peninsula Malaysia) to whoever buys it! Well, what are you waiting for then??

For more information and to order, do click on our ORDER PAGE.

Till the next time folks… =)

dealing with post CNY fattiness…

by lostasylum | February 23rd, 2010

Over the past week, there have been loads of the following: yee sang, cookies, soft drinks, packet drinks, eating, eating, eating, EATING! We Malaysians love our food and we hope that you guys enjoyed the Chinese New Year celebrations as much as we did, whether it was to host friends or to be part of the visiting gang…

At the moment, we’re on a eating break until the next festive season comes along and then we’ll probably start again… heheh… yup, we Malaysians really love our food…

But back to blatant© matters, WE’RE BACK! We suppose the common response would be: “So?” Well, we just want to get you excited about the things that will be coming your way….

Firstly, we’ve got 2 NEW designs scheduled to be ready by mid of next week. Once again, the design style and focus will again be something slightly different, so be prepared to be pleasantly surprised!

Secondly, we have once again managed to secure a spot for the March edition of Art for Grabs that will be held at the Annexe Gallery, Central Market.

    Date: Saturday, 6th March 2010 - Sunday, 7th March 2010
Venue: Annexe Gallery, Central Market (downtown KL)
    Opening hours: 12pm - 8pm

So yes, block out the dates, and keep some of that ang pow money for the new designs…!! Have a great week ahead!

No long posts this time, but just to wish everyone….

For those who will be driving, please do drive safely and be conscientious on the road. Happy celebrating and happy holidays!

NOTE: We’ll be closed from Friday, 12 Feb 2010 and we’ll resume business on Monday, 22 Feb 2010.

Moving forward by looking backwards…

by lostasylum | January 22nd, 2010

It’s 2010 and it seems like 2009 flew by so quickly without even saying hello or goodbye… and in fact, now suddenly, it’s already 22 days into 2010!!!! Where does all the time go? =)

Anyways, we’d like start off our first post of 2010 by talking about an event that happened in 2009. Our regular readers would know that our favourite event is the Art for Grabs event that happens at the Annexe Gallery in Central Market almost every other quarter (we think). Anyways, we managed to get a spot there again for the December edition of it and this time, we were afforded a very nice space where we could decorate our place and make it feel like our place…and of course, it wouldn’t be blatant© if we didn’t spend time clowning around now would it? =)

NOTE: As usual, to enlarge the images, please click on the photos

Well, apparently, there are some people who can’t seem to get enough of this clowning around, so we just had to bear with it… (but since she’s the chief creative person, I guess it’s ok lah… we give chance)

This was how our booth looked like…

… we had loads of buyers from all walks of life…

And the very satisfying part was that we were dealing with a predominantly new crowd of people who were introduced to the blatant© of humour and wit…

We were terribly honoured when one of our local writers Amir Muhammad (of “Malaysian Politicians Say the Darndest Things” and “Yasmin Ahmad’s Films” fame) found our t-shirts attractive and bought one for himself! He’s the intelligent looking man on the right in the picture above. Amir, don’t kill us ok? =)

We were having loads of fun just being there, and the happiness was quite apparent don’t you think?

But we have saved the best picture for last. We would like to introduce the most excited new fan that we have seen in blatant© history.

She’s also our youngest customer we’ve ever had. She really liked the t-shirt and insisted her mom get it for her even though it’s a tad bit big for her… after buying it, she wore it on and gave us the wonderful picture above.. =)

We were really tired by the time the 2 day event drew to a close, but we really had so much fun. It wasn’t just the watching our merchandise get appreciated, but we ourselves had a lot of fun exploring the other booths and seeing all the creativity that was there… we actually spent quite a bit on buying a lot of things there as well… heheh…

But anyways, we’ll be back next to tell the story of our KONFEWSD t-shirt, which apparently has gotten more than quite a few people confused, so stay tuned! Have a great weekend and be safe!
