I almost met U2 on Sunday…..

The sunlight vanished behind me as I enter the building and walk through the door to a dark area… I turn to the left and I look at the sign staring at me… I wonder whether I am really here? Could I really be……… on the verge of seeing U2?

I am suddenly distracted from my momentary daydream and I proceed to the wash basin… it’s amazing how a simple mental trigger from an image can cause a day dream… I look back, smile, and walk back into the sunlight….

Ok, I didn’t exactly end up in a U2 concert, or anywhere close to it. I was in fact at a graduation ceremony in MMU (Multimedia University) Cyberjaya on Sunday to witness a family member graduate from the corridors of education….

But while waiting for the other 19,234 students to get their names read out, there were a few other things that caught my attention (besides the U2 urinal that is)….

I saw a sign that showed you the exact location of where cancer could be found:

The actual intent of the sign was to show the public where the cancer awareness booth was located, but c’mon, the sign could have been a little more informative and less misleading…..

Then an image of the clash of old and new just made me smile…..

There was a shop that was selling kacang putih (Malaysian tid bits) and kingston thumbdrives / memory sticks right next to each other…

Imagery of kids playing and having fun always strikes a chord…. Especially when they get to play with REAL snakes, sorry.. a REAL life-sized version of snakes and ladders I mean!

But the highlight of my visit was seeing this while making my way to the convocation area:

I didn’t get to meet U2, but this sure made me happy! =)
